Product Led Growth: Let’s Get Back Into the Series
We are ready to think long-term and get back to our product-led growth series. It’s a relevant topic more now than ever as companies look to product-led growth strategies to support remote selling and customer retention, all while potentially having a leaner staff.
Blake Bartlett broke down the definition of product-led growth, the common barriers for implementation, and the many misconceptions holding product professionals back from embracing the approach. Brian Crofts talked about how product-led growth shifts the responsibilities of product managers, and how those shifts have impacted the way he approaches building product teams. Next up in the series, we are featuring:
It's almost hard to remember life pre-COVID.
It's true. What day is it? Where are we? What was life like, Anna?
Well, Christian, I am not going to answer all your questions, but I will tell you that before COVID all started, we were in the midst of a series about Product-Led Growth.
Oh right. Product-Led Growth, PLG as the experts call it, or yeah, we do anyway. Yeah, the time we decided to hit pause on that content because frankly, nobody had time to think at that high level, we had to go real time with our content. So we've been running with nine weeks of better product weekly, where we talked to product leaders about the things that they were facing right now.
Yeah. We shared with our community some of the common themes we learned from the product leaders that we talked to. We welcome you to check that content out as those findings are still going to be relevant for some time. However, we are ready to look forward and get back to Product-Led Growth.
And really PLG is a more relevant topic today than ever, as companies are looking to product led growth strategies to support remote selling and customer attention, all while potentially having a leaner staff. And before we move on in this series, we want to do a quick recap of where we are. Anna, can you help?
Always. So we had an episode with Blake Bartlett from OpenView Venture Partners and another one from Brian Cross, chief product officer at Pendo. To refresh your memory, Blake Bartlett broke down the definition of product led growth, the common barriers to implementation, and the many misconceptions professionals back from really embracing PLG. And then Brian Cross talked about how Product-Led Growth shifts the responsibility of product management and how those shifts have impacted the way he approaches building product teams. You can check out all the previous resources mentioned at betterproduct.community.
So up next, in this PLG series, we're featuring four new conversations. The first one, Laura Borghesi, senior director of growth marketing at Mongo DB. Then we have Prianka Rayamajhi and Lindsay Mindler, both part of the growth design team at Pinterest, followed up by Cem Kansu, director of product at Duolingo. And then wrapping it all up, we have someone who was on Better Product Weekly revisit us, Ryan Chan, the CEO and founder of Upkeep. You're not going to miss these episodes as we break down PLG further to help you not only understand it conceptually, but embrace it tactically for your organization. And if you aren't already, be sure to subscribe to Better Product, wherever you get your podcasts. And of course, you are always welcome to our community.
